Biomedical Scientist

We are recruiting for Health Care Science Associates (Band 4) based in the Laboratory, Altnagelvin Hospital, Londonderry required for 1 month initially.

Access to Higher Education (Science). Should also have GCSE’s A – C (Maths, English, double Science or single Science subjects) or equivalent and additional applied or theoretical training to diploma level (Biomedical Science). Plus 1 years relevant laboratory experience

OR

NVQ Level 3 (Laboratory and Associated Technical Activities or equivalent). Should also have GCSE’s A – C (Maths, English, double Science or single Science subjects) or equivalent and additional applied or theoretical training to diploma level (Biomedical sciences). Plus 1 years relevant laboratory experience

OR

2 Science A Levels to include Biology or Chemistry or Physics (plus additional applied or theoretical training to diploma level (Biomedical Science). Should also have GCSE’s A – C (Maths, English, double Science or single Science subjects) or equivalent. Plus 1 years relevant laboratory experience

OR

IBMS Certificate of Achievement Part II. Plus 1 years relevant laboratory experience

AND

Judged competent to process samples within a laboratory environment and make decisions and judgements in own area of work.

Experience of working in a clinical laboratory

Be willing to undergo an Access NI check through Keenan Recruitment
