AHP careers fair at Jordanstown

Today we should have been attending the Allied Health Professional careers fair at Ulster University Jordanstown!

This is always an event that we really look forward to and accept the invitation every year with great excitement, in anticipation of meeting a significant number of the graduating cohort to discuss the opportunities Keenan Recruitment may have in the range of AHP areas.

Although we are disappointed not to able to visit face to face, we wanted to say a heartfelt ‘Congratulations’ to all of you who have qualified in 2020! A year that will never be forgotten, for many reasons!

So, had we have been standing in your bustling sports hall with our Keenan banners, beautiful goodie bags and freshly pressed suits, what would we have been discussing with you?

  • How did your placements go? What did you like / dislike about them?
  • Where would you ideal post be? Why?
  • Where do you live and how far are you willing to travel?
  • Would you like to work part time of full time hours?
  • Do you drive and have access to a car? (For community posts).

We would listen carefully when you tell us all about your experience to date and then give you a breakdown on how working with Multi Award Winning Keenan Recruitment would be:

  • Would you like to use Keenan Recruitment as a stepping stone into a permanent job within the NHS?
  • Most of us graduate with some debt tied to us and yet would still like to secure employment and get a mortgage. Did you know that Keenan Recruitment offer a free of charge and completely confidential Health & Well-being package to all locum staff working, from your very first day in your job? You will be asked if you would like to join the scheme and if so we pass your email address to our financial advice partner Kith & Kin, who will give you a quick online survey to complete, so they can focus professionally on the areas you would like help. This includes debt management, mortgage applications, savings advice and budgeting. As your employer, Keenan has a duty of care to look after your well-being and we take this seriously.
  • We supply your uniform and fit to work certificate free of charge.

Current AHP band 5 rate of pay within the NHS is £12.74 per hour.

We are based in Arthur House, 41 Arthur Street, Belfast, BT1 4GB and would love to welcome you for coffee sometime in the not to distant future, however during the COVID-19 lockdown, we are currently running all registrations online.

Registrations open on Monday 8th June at 9am. Email your CV and mobile number to  alliedhealth@keenanrecruitment.co.uk  to schedule a zoom meeting to get your registration for work started!

We look forward to working with you and wish you all the best in your career!

Team Krec.
