Data Analyst

Laura-Lee is delighted to be recruiting for a full time Data Analyst in Belfast. This exciting contract is to start ASAP and will run until at least the end of march 2019, with a strong possibility of being extended. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain public sector experience.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

Possess a relevant* degree, or an equivalent professional qualification, in computing/design (or a suitable relevant course) together with at least one year’s paid employment (excluding placement year) in ICT/Informatics environment where systems/business analysis were key responsibilities.

OR

Relevant* HND / HNC or equivalent/ higher qualification and 2 years’ experience in an ICT/Informatics environment where systems/business analysis were key responsibilities.

OR

Three years’ experience* (excluding placement year) in an ICT/Informatics environment where systems/business analysis were key responsibilities.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:

-Demonstrate sound knowledge of using SQL query language and/or business object reporting tools to produce and write reports to support business need.

-Knowledge and experience of the management and administration of databases including MS SQL Server.

-Good understanding of business intelligence reporting, design and administration.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Will be required to promote and support the mission and vision of the service for which they are responsible and:

-At all times provide a caring service and to treat those with whom they come into contact in a courteous and respectful manner.

-Demonstrate their commitment by the efficient completion of all tasks allocated to them.

-Comply with the No Smoking Policy.

-Carry out their duties and responsibilities in compliance with health and safety policy and statutory regulations.

-Support the client in advancing its compliance with Risk Management Controls Assurance Standards and to contribute to improving governance across the organisation.

-Ensure the on-going confidence of the public in service provision.

-Support the client in complying with its obligations under Human Rights legislation.

-Comply with the DOH/HSC and organisational policies/relevant professional codes of conduct.
