Internal Audit - Supervisor and Manager

Keenan Recruitment are supporting an Internal Audit Service to grow their team by adding a Supervisor and Manager based in Belfast. 

JOB SUMMARY

The Audit Supervisor is the Lead Auditor on Internal Audit assignments and is responsible for the effective delivery of high-quality audit assignments to fieldwork complete and draft report stage, within the required timescale.  The post holder supervises and directs field auditors during each audit assignment.

 

The Audit Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of annual audit plans to an assigned portfolio of public sector organisations.  The Audit Manager is a key client contact for audit services.  The post holder manages an audit team to deliver audit work that complies with professional best practice and that is delivered on time and to budget.  Specifically the Audit Manager is responsible for audit assignment planning; scheduling assignments and allocating assignments to staff; and managing assignments including conducting first file reviews.  The Audit Manager personally conducts complex assignments.

Criteria Supervisor

Candidates must be part qualified with a CCAB accountancy body, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants or the Institute of Internal Auditors or be a qualified Accounting Technician.

AND

Have at least two years internal audit/finance experience.

OR 

Candidates must have worked as an internal auditor for at least five years.

 

Criteria Manager:

Candidates must:

• Have a CCAB recognised full professional accountancy qualification.  OR
• Be a fully qualified member of CIMA OR
• Be a qualified Chartered Internal Auditor with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)

AND

Have worked for at least 2 years in an audit/finance supervisory role.
