Communications Officer - Band 6 x2

Do you have a passion for Communications and Public Relations?  We have two exciting opportunities in the Public Sector working in a busy communications team in Healthcare.

Hours: Monday to Friday 09.00 - 17.00.  Salary £16.04ph.  

JOB SUMMARY

To provide a high level of organisational public relations and other communications support to ensure that the Public Health Agency (PHA) is able to reach the highest possible standards in all aspects of corporate communication. The postholder will be required to contribute to the corporate and public relations functions of the PHA including the provision of a service to the press and broadcasting media in relation to the PHA and its work. They will be expected to be well informed about the PHA, its work and its policies and to work both as an important part of a small team and on occasions , to work alone using their initiative.

CRITERIA

• Minimum of 2 years working in Communications and Public Relations
• An understanding of the structure of the HSC, main issues and wider Health system including Department, HSCB and Trusts.
• Experience of media handling, PR, Events, Photocalls, and press releases
• Experience developing and presenting internal communications
• Experience of social media and digital communications.
• Educated to Degree level or 5 years experience 
• Candidate will require a driving licence and access to a car.
