Registered Manager - Learning Disability Supported Living

Our Client supports individuals with mental ill health, autism, learning disabilities and dementia; providing innovative, professional, high quality support services to people across the spectrum of need and particularly at the higher level of complexity in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, England and the Isle of Man.

We are currently recruiting for a full time Register Manager for our Client within Supported Living based in Birmingham.  

Each person we engage with will have a tailored care package to support their return to live within local communities in a Supported Living setting, with staff being involved with developing each Service User’s confidence and abilities to live as independently as possible. Services are close to each other with support from a local office base and we are growing across the city. Our expertise is in working with people with complex and multiple needs, there will be challenges on the way as outcomes are worked towards but we will be there for each person’s journey. The Client wants to make a real difference in people’s lives by creating opportunities and collaborating with other agencies to promote the best possible outcomes for everyone we engage with.

Job Purpose/Summary
The manager is central to ensuring that the Organisation achieves its goal of providing quality care to the most vulnerable in our societies. Reporting to the Head of Operations the Project Manager will ensure the effective and efficient management and development of the service in line with Organisational strategy, ensuring regulatory, Organisational and contract compliance, whilst at all times promoting the Client's values and brand through high quality support of our Service Users.
 

Requirements of the Role

You must be eligible to be registered with CQC as Registered Manager to this service

  • You must hold the relevant qualifications required for the role 
  • You will be required to participate in the company performance management process
  • You will be required to participate in an out of hours on-call service on a rota basis
  • To adhere to and model the company values, behaviours and competencies at all times
  • To carry out all duties of the post in accordance with the Client's expectations, regulations and policies
  • To carry out additional duties of the role and all other required duties as and when necessary

Criteria:

Professional qualification in Social Work OR First/Second Level Nursing OR Occupational Therapy*

*Candidates with a Social Work qualification must be registered on appointment, on the appropriate part of HCPC register, without condition. Candidates with Nursing qualifications must be registered on appointment on the appropriate part of the NMC register, without condition.

AND/OR

QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for HSC and CYP Services (Adults Management) (England) to include 3 years’ supervisory management experience.

AND

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in health or learning disability services to adults 3 years’ experience at senior level in:

  • Staff supervisory and rota management
  • Knowledge of and experience in working to CQC regulations and requirements
  • Experience of multidisciplinary and multiagency working
  • Experience of working with complex health/PMLD/palliative care
  • Experience of leadership in challenging services
  • Experience of service development and introduction of complex referrals in nursing/residential services

AND Full Clean Driving Licence
