Band 3 Dietetic Support Worker

Keenan Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for Band 3 Dietetic Support Workers on behalf of the Belfast Trust.

• Full-time hours (Monday - Friday) 
• Based at Knockbreda Wellbeing and Treatment Centre
• Salary is £10.40 per hour 

The Dietetic Support Worker will work under the guidance and supervision of the Dietitians in the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and will be involved in the practical aspects of implementing and monitoring the nutritional recommendations made by the Dietitians. The Dietetic Support Worker will also undertake some routine administrative and clerical duties as required by the dietetic staff. 

The Dietetic Support Worker can work in health improvement services. The health improvement service includes the Community Dietetic Health & Wellbeing team and/or the Regional Food and Schools Coordinator.

As this is a community post, the Dietetic Support Worker may work between sites across Belfast Health and Social Care Trust.

Job includes:-

• Implementing and monitoring nutritional care recommendations of the Dietetic Service.
• Clinical Service: Facilitating the provision of optimal nutrition to inpatients and outpatients referred to Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Health Improvement Service: Facilitating the provision of nutritional advice and support to community, voluntary, statutory organisations and the general public to optimise health and wellbeing.
• Supporting administrative duties (requiring proficient computer skills).

 

Qualifications and Experience Required

• 1 years paid experience working directly with patients /clients in a health or social care setting and routinely using IT skills.
• Hold a current full driving license valid in the UK/Ireland and access to a car on appointment.
• 5 GCSE level passes at C/4 or above or equivalent including English language and Mathematics OR QCF or NVQ Level III Health and Social Care (or equivalent).

OR

• 2 years paid experience working directly with patients /clients in a health or social care setting and routinely using IT skills.
