Social Worker Learning Disability Residential

Interviews are being scheduled for a new Children's Learning Disability Unit based in Belfast.   This will be a Home for 2 young people with moderate learning disabilities aged from 12 upwards.  They will be long term matched to this Unit.  They currently have a Registered Manager, 2 Deputy Managers and 9 support staff appointed and are interested in appointing 4 Social Workers to support the team.

The rota has been designed to minimise burn out and is currently set out on a rolling 9 week basis.  You would be appointed for 2 x 24hr shifts per week including sleep shifts. With a minimum of 1 day off in between shifts. On the 9th week is a waking night shifts.  Salary dependent on experience from £25,000.  Permanent, temporary and ad hoc roles available. 

AYE will be supported for this role and there is a month long induction and career development and training pathway.  Induction and training will be held in August with a view to start in September 2022.  

CRITERIA:

Social Work Degree

6 months experience in Children's Services or Learning Disability Services

NISCC registered

Driving Licence and Access to a car
