Social Worker Young Witness Service

We are currently recruiting for a full time Social Worker for the NSPCC Young Witness Service supporting children and young people as they move through the Court System.

Salary - £31,999 - £35,529.  The role will be largely based in Derry-Londonderry. 

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

• A qualified social worker and extensive experience in safeguarding children and young people
• You must have completed your AYE
• Criminal Justice experience or knowledge of the court system preferred
• Driven by making a difference
• Up-to-date knowledge of child protection legislation and practical experience of child protection and welfare issues
• A passion for customer service
• An understanding of the needs of children and their psychosocial development
• Ability to collect, assess and summarise essential information in written format
• Good IT skills
