Marketing and Communications Manager

Are you ready to take the lead in delivering Marketing and Communications within a local Charity organisation supporting adults in crisis?

JOB SUMMARY

• Develop and lead the Communications function so that it effectively supports our strategic ambitions.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the Communications & Engagement Strategy in a way that embraces our mission of ending homelessness and meets and delivers the strategic objectives.
• Develop and manage the story of and all content for the organisation and ensure consistency, effective engagement and reach across all platforms and channels.
• Work closely with the fundraising team to ensure an integrated approach to all fundraising activities with the aim of maximising opportunities to engage supporters, corporate partners, and volunteers to ensure maximum impact.
• Contribute to the successful meeting of income targets in line with the operational plan.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure that all marketing and events reflect and deliver on the strategic aims of the organisation.

 

35 hours per week. There may be a requirement to occasionally work unsocial hours or for travel throughout Northern Ireland.

Salary: £40,285 - £44,112

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

1. Proven experience of developing and leading on communications, campaigns, and PR strategy work.
2. Excellent copywriting and editorial skills, with attention to detail across a range of channels (digital and print).
3. A track record of developing creative and compelling content that has increased engagement levels and achieved key business outcomes.
4. Experience of effective budget management.
5. Experience of using MS Office packages, content and management systems, social media applications/monitoring and web analytics.
6. Ability to manage workloads and conflicting priorities to meet targets and deadlines and provide an effective service.

DESIRBALE CRITERIA

1. Membership of relevant professional body e.g. CIPR or CIM.
2. An understanding of the voluntary and statutory sectors in Northern Ireland.
3. Working knowledge of Public Affairs in Northern Ireland and interest in local politics
