Production Electrician

Our client, with extensive manufacturing facilities based in Belfast, is actively seeking a committed individual to join our team as an Electrical Maintenance Technician. This pivotal role is integral to ensuring the seamless operation of our manufacturing facility through top-tier engineering expertise and maintenance support.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

• Supervise all aspects of site operations, focusing on optimizing the performance of the mill plant and associated equipment.

• Collaborate closely with production colleagues to ensure smooth equipment setup, maintenance, and performance monitoring.

• Conduct thorough fault diagnoses and promptly execute necessary adjustments or repairs.

• Drive continuous process improvement efforts, including preventive maintenance, utilities management, modifications, and maintaining an on-site spares inventory.

• Contribute to the successful installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

• Completion of a recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship or training program.

• Proficiency in diagnosing and rectifying electrical and mechanical faults.

• Previous experience in industrial settings, ideally with exposure to feed mill-style plant and equipment.

• Proactive problem-solving skills with a history of positive contributions within a team environment.

• Knowledge of fabrication, welding, and mechanical fitting is advantageous.

 

Additional Requirements:

In addition, your reliability, cooperation, and flexibility to accommodate early starts, night shifts, and weekend work, when necessary, will be crucial.
