Band 6 Occupational Therapist

The Northern Health and Social Care Trust urgently require a Specialist/Band 6 Occupational Therapist for the Community Adult Learning Disability Occupational Therapy service

The post will be for six months initially and initial location to be confirmed on appointment but will be one of the two noted below.

• Antrim/Ballymena Adult Learning Disability Team, Ballymena Health and Care Centre, Cushendall Road, Ballymena, BT43 6HQ.
• Causeway Adult Learning Disability Team, Rathlea House, Mountfern Complex, 8A Rugby Avenue, Coleraine, BT52 1JL.

There may also be a need to work across other localities within the Northern Trust Adult Learning Disability Teams.

Requirements:

Band 6 – 37.5 hours per week

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
• Full Access NI check
• Up to date registration with the HCPC
• Assurance that they are fit for post (health assessment)
• 2 years post qualifying experience with 6 months experience in the Community setting working with adults
• Post qualifying paid experience of working with service users with a diagnosis of a Learning Disability is preferable but not essential.
• Full UK driving license with access to a car on appointment with suitable business insurance
